Our company specializes in providing support and inspection of lifting accessories (chains, wire rope slings, straps, accessories, lifting eyes, spreader bars). This inspection activity is crucial to ensure the safety of operations and the workers performing them.
Quarterly inspections are required to verify the integrity and long-term effectiveness of these devices. Additionally, an annual inspection must be conducted by qualified personnel external to the company that owns the equipment to ensure the impartiality of the results.
In fact, Legislative Decree 81 of 2008, Article 71, places specific obligations on employers regarding the use of work equipment, which includes various lifting accessories such as ropes and chains. The regulation requires compliance with the manufacturer’s guidelines for periodic inspections, or, at a minimum, adherence to the quarterly inspection schedule.
